This Weekends Reading

This weekend I finished my third Betsy Byars book. I recently read The SOS Files as this book was one of the Beverly Cleary Award Nominees. Last month it was awarded the 2007 Clearly Award. This weekend I finished The TV Kid. These books were great books that keep me interested until the end and I am sure many of my readers will like anyone of these books.

The SOS Files is a collection of short stories written by the students in Mr. Magro's class. Each story is a tale of that students call for help at the time of their biggest emergency, thus the title The SOS Files.

The TV Kid is an adventure book about a boy who loves TV. The only other better activity besides TV is his secret explorations that lead him into painful trouble. I can't tell you any more without giving away the adventure. You'll just have to read it yourself.

You might also like another book by this same author that I read last year. The book Tornado follows a family in a storm cellar as they wait out a tornado and listen the stories of a farmhand about his boyhood dog named Tornado.
