I Always Wanted A Horse

I always wanted a horse when I was growing up but, of course we couldn't keep a horse in our backyard so the answer was always the same when I asked for a horse, N0! So the next best thing is, of course, a good horse story right.

For those wanting a shorter book I would recommend the Pony Pals books by Jeanne Betancourt. There is a whole series of wonderful books with the leading character being a horse.

My other suggestion is the Saddles, Stars and Stripes books by Deborah Kent. Last night I finished the book Chance of a Lifetime and found it to be the next best thing to sitting in the saddle myself. This historical fiction book was very interesting with the setting taking place during a very difficult time in our Country's history, the Civil War.

Happy Trails!
