Ohhh, What's That Yummy Smell Coming From The Library?

Things were cooking this week in the library. Before the Thanksgiving break some of the 3rd and 4th grade classes that had been working on the recipes projects earlier in the fall were treated to a real cooking project. We enjoyed "HOT" ChocolateTurtle Waffles. When I asked where would be a good place to post the recipe several classes came up with the idea to post the recipe here on the blog.

Chocolate Turtle Waffles
1/2 Cup Butter (melted)
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
6 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Flour
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Mix first three ingredients add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by small spoonfuls on warm waffle iron.
Frosting (optional but a must for a real turtle look)
Mix white frosting with green food coloring. Frost waffles, eat and enjoy!
